Background
Linea Academy founded in 1984, it is registered as a private company and is accredited as a provider of higher education with
the South African Department of Education.
Linea Academy has been recognised as a Validated Centre of NTU since 1996. The Academy offered one NTU accredited programme,
the BA (Hons) Fashion Design. In 2008 Linea Academy was accredited by the Council of Higher Education in South Africa. At
this point the relationship with NTU moved to one of verification, where the University continues to recognise the programme
at Linea, but no longer confers its award.
