Background
Masaryk University in Brno is the third oldest university in the Czech Republic and the premier university in Moravia. Founded
in 1919, only three months after the creation of the Czechoslovak Republic itself, it was named after the first President
of Czechoslovakia.
Today Masaryk University comprises nine faculties with more than 150 departments, institutes and clinics covering a broad
range of academic disciplines and fields of research.
The LLM Corporate Law programme is accommodated within MUB’s Faculty of Law which was approved as a Validated Centre of Nottingham
Trent University in April 2005.
In 2008, MUB was subject to an Institutional Review and Programme Progress Review, and a new MPA was validated for an initial
period of 3 years. The MPA will be reviewed in 2011. The next institutional review and LLM review is scheduled for 2014.
