Background New College Nottingham (ncn) is a large College of general further education, formed from the merger of four FE Colleges in
the Nottingham area. It operates from four major campuses, providing further and higher education to 40,000 full and part-time
learners. ncn has offered higher education for over 15 years with a wide range of programmes at HND/HNC/FD level.
The University and ncn have a long history of working together and have recently moved towards the development of a deeper
relationship. ncn was granted Validated Centre status in September 2003, initially for a three-year period and subject to
review.
An Institutional Review and Programme Progress Review took place in 2006 and a further five years approved. The next review
will take place in 2011.
