Calling all budding journalists The East Midlands STEM Partnership is sourcing budding journalists to report on STEM activities within the region. This is
a great opportunity for students with interests in journalism, media, science, technology, engineering or maths subjects.

Collaboration between CELS and the Republic of Korea The Summer of 2008 saw CELS join forces with the Dong-A Academy and the National Science Museum of Korea. During the two week
visit to the Republic of Korea, the team (Prof. Gren Ireson, Dr Seong-hee Kim, Dr Georgina Westbrook, Mark Crowley and Natasha
Neale) worked to build links via the Korean Summer Camp programme and demonstrated their hands-on approach to science teaching.

Salters' Festival of Chemistry at NTU School pupils from across the East Midlands will be making their way to Nottingham Trent University to learn more about the
incredible world of chemistry. Fifteen schools will be represented at this year’s Salters' Festival of Chemistry, hosted by
the university's Centre of Effective Learning in Science (CELS) at the Clifton Campus on Wednesday 21 May.
