Creating new materials
Research has revealed the need for individualised learning packages in higher education. This is due to growing diversity
in the undergraduate population, bringing with it students with different educational backgrounds.
Studies have identified discrepancies between Access and A-level (A2), leading to possible gaps in knowledge and conceptual
understanding. This is also the case in interdisciplinary courses where candidates have a mixed qualification profile.
Instruction materials designed for these student groups will help to address such issues by catering for specific learning
needs, which will assist students in achieving their goals.
