Forensic Skills Development in Criminalistics Practical Work

Experience has shown that Forensic Science students require practical experiments to be tailored to their needs, with instructions and assessments presented in a format relevant to the subject.

This sabbatical project involved restructuring the Criminalistics labs to promote the gradual development of skills, the use of relevant techniques and ‘forensic’ case files. The project also involved the redesign of experiments and lab scripts, as well as the creation of new lectures on experimental techniques.

These new developments are currently being used with Forensic Science students.
