What are your main duties of work?
My work involves a wide range of ecological projects, including research about endangered seabird species (in relation to fisheries bycatch), environmental impact assessments (determining impacts of developments and housing on native species) and island restoration (eradication of invasive species to restore island ecosystems).
What are your favourite aspects of the job?
Working with endangered species, particularly seabirds, and visiting islands around the world.
What salary can a graduate expect to earn in this job?
Approximately £15,000
Other information:
This work provides further training prospects including the use of firearms and poisons, health and safety procedures, trap use, species handling and ringing training etc.. There are also excellent travel opportunities.
