Light up materials

This hands-on activity on "light up materials" is aimed at developing ideas about materials, display technology and engineering.

The kit is designed in line with the national curriculum guidelines for key stage 3 and is linked carefully to practical sessions.

All of the hands-on sessions are supported by activity worksheets to guide pupils through the activity.

Following this activity the pupils will be able to:

• Carry out experiments
• Meet real-life scientists

Age range: This kit is being designed for KS3 pupils

Time of activity: Teachers should allow at least one hour for this session to take place
