The Ogden Trust logoOgden Trust funding for Kit in a Kase delivery

CELS have previously been awarded funding to pay for undergraduate students to train in, and deliver Kit in a Kase activities.

This scheme enriched the experience of pupils in local schools by providing them with fun and interesting science activities. It also allowed undergraduates to broaden their skills and enhance their CVs.

EMDA funded Kit in a Kase activities

As part of the Science City initiative, CELS was awarded funding from the East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) for the development of four Kit in a Kase activities. The Kits compliment the science curriculum by providing relevant activities that are exciting and fun to try. Resources developed are for use as part of activities based in schools or at CELS and also at public awareness events. The new Kits are entitled:

  • EMDA logo
  • Pills, jabs and patches (now available to secondary schools)
  • Light up materials (now available to secondary schools)
  • How magnetism helps us (for use at public awareness events)
  • Hand on a plate - nanotechnology and scientific enquiry (for use at public awareness events)
