Image of spiral galaxy, M74

This image shows the galaxy known as M 74, which is a 'spiral galaxy' like M 33 and our own galaxy. M 74 is approximately 31 million light-years away from us and is therefore even further away than the galaxy, M 33.

This image was produced by the combination of five red, green, and blue images that were each exposed for 1 minute.
