Images taken from the NTU telescope

This colour image shows our neighbouring planet, Mars, which has been the target of recent searches for signs of water and possible life.

The image was taken with the 20 inch telescope, using three different coloured filters. It shows the typical red colour of the planet and a hint of different regions on its surface.

The image was taken on 26 February 2008.
