Discover Journalism!
Details:
This interactive afternoon is for Year 12 students who have an interest in or are thinking about studying Broadcast or Print journalism at university.
Students will be given a tour of NTU’s fantastic Centre for Broadcasting and Journalism. Based in state-of-the-art, purpose built premises, our facilities include the largest student newsroom in the country providing an outstanding learning environment.
At its hub is an 85 workstation multimedia newsroom where CBJ students organise news coverage and put together newspapers and magazines plus TV and radio bulletins.
As well as touring CBJ, academic staff will speak to students about the courses on offer at NTU, including information about how to make your UCAS application form stand out and what is required from a potential journalist.
The afternoon will finish with students having the opportunity to have-a-go at either presenting in front of a camera or creating a magazine /newspaper front page.
There are limited places on this event so please book early to avoid any disappointment.
Booking for this event will open in the new year, if you have any queries in the meantime, please email Bronagh Marlow.
