Nottingham Business School Conference: Bringing the world of business to life; Shopping ideas and the recession!

Year 12, Year 13 and BTEC National Diploma students are invited to this event.
In lecture and seminar style talks you will hear from Nottingham Business School academics. You will learn about topical issues in the business world which will include:
- Where do tomorrow's ideas come from?
- The 3Ds of British Recessions: Depth, Duration and Determinants
- Business and Culture: why the French drive on the wrong side of the road
- Pitching for investment: How to get money from the Dragon's Den.
As well as these curriculum enrichment opportunities students, teachers and advisors will gain information on courses and careers in business.
There will also be an opportunity to hear from a guest speaker.

Priority will be given to schools and colleges in the East Midlands. We focus our resources and efforts on the following target groups:
- those who were previously identified as being in the Aimhigher cohort
- those who come from a disadvantaged background
- those who are in receipt of free school meals
- those who are from a care background
- those who have a disability.
