Discover Journalism at NTU!
Over 25 school and college students had the opportunity to visit NTU’s Centre for Broadcasting and Journalism (CBJ) during two ‘Discover Journalism at NTU’ taster afternoons in June and November.

UCAS CPD Evening
Following the success of last year’s event we were delighted to run another UCAS CPD session for teachers and practitioners from our partner schools and colleges.

2011 Sixth Form Bioscience conference
Over 70 of the UK's future scientists attended Nottingham Trent University's 6th Form Bioscience Conference on Tuesday 20 September 2011.

Year 9 Residential Summer School 2011
Just before the summer break in July, 63 local pupils experienced a taste of university life at the Year 9 Residential Summer School.

Year 12 Summer Residential 2011
87 Year 12 students from 25 schools and colleges across the country turned up at our Clifton campus in July for the annual NTU Year 12 Summer Residential. This higher education experience provides young people with the opportunity to experience life as a student through a series of academic tasters, HE awareness raising activities and social events.

Students in Classrooms Celebration Event 2011
NTU's annual Students in Classrooms celebration event took place on Thursday 12 May 2011. It recognised and acknowledged the achievements, enthusiasm and commitment of students, school and college staff who participated in the schemes.
Year 9 International Workshops
Pupils from over 40 secondary schools in Nottinghamshire enjoyed a fun and interactive workshop, delivered in school by our Widening Participation team and International Student Ambassadors.

Architecture for Everyone Conference 2011
Despite it surrounding us, we do not always take time to stop and think about the urban environment. This is exactly what 30 pupils did at the recent Architecture for Everyone conference.

Aimhigher Fashion Day
Students from across Nottingham discovered that fashion at university is fun but hard work after spending the day in our School of Art & Design.

Family Fun
In March the NTU Widening Participation team held two successful Family Fun events at the City site and Clifton campus, providing local families with the opportunity to visit the University and find out more about what higher education could offer them in the future.

Computing and Technology Innovation Day
An annual event that aims to inspire and motivate our current undergraduate students, was adapted to attract the attention of post-16 students currently studying computing and hoping to pursue further study in the subject.

Fresh Air 2011
25 Year 10 pupils from a variety of local schools visited our Brackenhurst campus in April for what has become our annual two day Fresh Air event.
