Who can become a partner school or college?
We are inviting the following schools and colleges to join the NTU Partnership Scheme:
- schools and colleges that have a long standing relationship with NTU through our community and outreach team, including Aimhigher targeted schools
- schools and colleges that currently are, or have potential to be the top feeder institutions for applications to our University
- schools or colleges that have a special association with NTU through, for example, subject specific links or the provision of placements for our trainee teachers.
Partner schools and colleges have a personal contact at NTU. Please email us to find out if you are a partner school or college and the name of your NTU personal contact. If you would like to join the NTU Partnership Scheme please email us for further information.
What is the annual prize?
Each partner school or college can request an annual prize in the form of gift vouchers worth £50 to be awarded to a student or students for whatever achievement they feel is appropriate. Details of how to receive the award are included on your invitation to join the NTU Partnership Scheme which your personal contact will share with you. If you have not received your invitation please contact us.
Do schools and colleges pay for the Partnership scheme events?
All our events are free of charge to pupils and schools/colleges within our Partnership Scheme. All we ask is that if you book one of our events you make every effort to attend or give a reasonable amount of notice if you unavoidably have to cancel. We have limited places and our talks are in great demand so we need to make sure our valuable resource is used most effectively to give as many schools, colleges and learners as possible the support they need.
Will NTU pay for transport to the events?
All our events are free of charge however we are unable to provide transport or funding for transport to our events. We focus our resources on providing high quality events and activities to inspire and inform learners from our partner schools and colleges.
How far in advance can I book your team to deliver talks in my school?
Our activities officers are in demand, particularly at key times of the year, so to avoid disappointment we recommend you book our events or talks as early as possible. We usually give a deadline to book for our on campus events – which you will see on the website. If you have missed the deadline please do contact us, as on occasion we may still be able to accommodate you. For our talks in schools we can occasionally respond at short notice but when demand is high we recommend you book well in advance.
