NOW - NTU Online Workplace

We provide a wide range of training sessions for staff on the use of NOW. NOW is a virtual learning environment and is the University’s hub for online learning and teaching activities. Our training is designed to help you meet NTU’s Minimum Standards of Online Learning and Teaching and to support the University’s eLearning initiatives such as e-assessment and feedback.

Creating a well-designed Learning Room provides students with a single resource where all course information, including course content, assignments and discussion topics is stored and easy to locate.

What activities do we deliver or support in this area?
CPLD have designed a programme of events to support staff in using NOW. There are six short courses on using NOW alongside a variety of mix and match workshops to provide you with the skills and knowledge to use NOW to support you and your students. You can find a list of all NOW workshops on the Course Directory.

All of our events combine educational guidance with hands-on training and have been designed to complement the online resources in the Using Technology in Learning and Teaching learning room which can be found in NOW. You can access these resources in NOW under your Staff tab.

We provide self-teach guides and video tutorials which will soon be available in the Get the NOW How learning room which can be found in NOW under your Staff tab. You will need to log in to NOW to access these resources.
