Applying for Professional Recognition from the Higher Education Academy
We are working with Schools and Colleges to plan the implementation of a new NTU Professional Development Framework for Learning and Teaching designed to enable all staff who teach and / or support learning at NTU, to access appropriate professional development, including opportunities to apply for professional recognition.
At the end of July 2012, our Framework was successfully accredited by the Higher Education Academy, enabling us to offer you the opportunity to apply for HEA-accredited professional recognition within NTU, at no cost to you or your department. This will mean we can support many more applications for recognition over the next three years and beyond.
So, should you be considering applying for professional recognition, and wish to avoid the cost of applying direct to the HEA, we advise that you wait and apply through one of the new routes that will be available at NTU.
Further information about the framework can be found in the CPD Planning section of the website.
