Developing in research
To help you engage with ongoing professional development planning you might also wish to use the Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF) to identify your areas for development and the NTU RCPD Tool which lists key development opportunities which are mapped to the RDF. The Tool was designed for use within the PDCR process but might also be useful for postgraduate research students in discussion with their director of studies.
You can access both the RDF and NTU RCPD tool on the Research CPD Planning page.
Professional skills
Research staff and postgraduate researchers may also be interested in our Professional Skills training programme which covers areas integral to effective research practice such as:
- Professional presentations
- Planning and organising
- Giving and receiving feedback
- Dealing effectively with people
