Residence Assistants

NTU’s Residence Assistants help to develop a comfortable sense of community for students at each of the University’s residences.

Residence Assistants (RAs) are second year, third year and postgraduate students who know the challenges associated with living in a new place with new people at NTU. That means they're well-placed to provide you with empathetic support and advice. They can talk through any issues you might be facing, and help you to make new friends.

Our Residence Assistants also have strong links with University departments, including accommodation services, student support, and the wardens. If you need help with something, you can contact them and they will refer you to the right member of staff. They're on hand every night and all weekend to address any issues within the residences.

We are now recruiting for RAs for 2013/14, to start in September 2013. To give you more detail about the role, there will information event on Wednesday 28 November 2012, 2 - 4pm, in Newton building Lecture Theatre 5. Please come along if you want to find out more.

If you're interested in applying to be a Residence Assistant, please take a look at the Job Description and Person Specification. You will need to submit up to two sides of A4 explaining why you are suitable for the job, including any relevant knowledge or experience that you have. Applications should be emailed to us.
