Overview

Nottingham Trent University delivers a wide variety of sessions, activities and open days to people from primary school age through to post-16 students, mature students, parents and carers. 

Student Ambassadors help to support the wide range of events and activities taking place by acting as guides, group leaders, general classroom support, or through supporting activities taking place within the University, such as marketing events or school outreach visits.

Location

Activities take place at the University campuses, as well as in schools, colleges and academies across the region. For activities taking place outside of the University, transport is provided.

Who can apply?

  • This scheme is only open to students currently studying at Nottingham Trent University.
  • The scheme is open to all year groups. Part time and international students are also eligible to apply.

The role of a Student Ambassador is not subject specific, so applicants are welcome from all subject areas.

Commitment Required

Ambassadors sign up for events which fit in with their timetables and other commitments, on a first-come, first-served basis. Events vary from one hour to a whole day, with events taking place on a daily basis from Monday to Friday.

Approximately 50

How much will I earn?

Student Ambassadors earn £6.96 per hour (£6.21 per hour basic pay, plus £0.75 per hour holiday supplement)

How do I find out more?

In order to apply for the Student Ambassador Scheme you must attend one of the awareness raising meetings listed below. These meetings will provide much more information about the scheme and ensure that you are fully aware of the role and commitment required, before applying.

You are welcome to attend any of the meetings regardless of your campus of study, although please note that this scheme is only open to students studying at Nottingham Trent University .

There is no need to sign up to a meeting beforehand, you can simply turn up on the day.
