Primary Literacy Scheme
Overview
The Primary Literacy Scheme is a Nottingham Trent University initiative coordinated by the University. Students provide support in infant, junior or primary schools to help raise pupil literacy levels with the support of class teachers. Common activities undertaken include listening to readers, reading to children, playing word games, writing alternative endings to stories etc.
For 2012 / 13 we are also piloting a new initiative offering placements in secondary schools, to support lower age range pupils with their literacy skills.

Placements take place in schools across Nottingham.
