Making strides to cut consumption, costs and carbon is no easy task and during the lead up to this year's festive season we are asking you to help! Have a look around your office, lecture theatres, studios, workshops, labs, study areas, kitchens and see what you can switch off over the Christmas break.
You may want to split the task between your department or class; everyone can play their part in the Christmas Switch Off 2013 and if you need any hints or tips about what you can switch off and when, just get in touch and we'll be happy to help!
The environment team are now recruiting student eco-reps to support the University's cutting edge sustainability projects.
We run a bike hire scheme for all staff and students where you can hire a bike from just £35 a year. Or you can buy one and get money off through Cyclescheme.
Here at Nottingham Trent University, our commitment to environmental sustainability is a key part of our strategy. Current and future threats to our environment are a major concern of our students and our staff. We seek to develop positive solutions for these environmental challenges through our curricula, our research, the way we work and how we manage our resources.
