NTU students
Do you want to green your department?
Green Impact is an environmental accreditation scheme with a competitive streak that helps departments to improve their environmental performance. University staff will be completing a whole host of tasks to reduce their environmental impact and make NTU one of the greenest universities in the country.
How can I get involved?
There are two ways in which you can get involved:
- Lobby your lecturers and staff within your department and encourage them to sign up to the scheme.
- Become a Green Impact auditor - we are looking for students with a passion for helping the environment to volunteer as auditors. You will receive training from the NUS before visiting participating departments to assess their success in the scheme.
What's in it for me?
Volunteering as a Green Impact auditor will help to boost your CV and help you to develop skills that are highly desirable in the workplace, no matter what you are studying. For those of you studying subjects related to sustainability and the environment, volunteering as an auditor will give you a real insight into the impacts that businesses have on the environment and the practical measures that can be taken to tackle them. Involvement in the scheme could even be a basis for your dissertation or final-year project.
Where do I sign up?

Green Impact is managed by the National Union of Students. Visit the NUS website for more information about how you can encourage NTU and NTSU to become more sustainable.
