50th anniversary
Over 50 years of teacher-training excellence
In 2010 the School of Education celebrated its 50th anniversary. With this achievement comes a wealth of expertise, experience and an excellent reputation.
From its launch in 1960, the School has successfully grown into one of the UK's leading providers of education-related and teacher-training courses. Our wealth of experience over the past five decades has enabled us to create a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses offering students the opportunity to train to be teachers or study education in its widest context. Over the years we have provided thousands of graduates with the key skills and attributes that enable progression into a variety of career paths.
