About us

The School of Education provides a strong portfolio of teacher training programmes and a wide range of courses for students who want to study Education in its widest context.

We have around 1,500 students enrolled on undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses (which are all inspected regularly). Our results reflect the excellence of teaching within the school, thanks to the expertise of 60 academic staff. Students enjoy state-of-the-art facilities in the purpose-built Ada Byron King Building and the refurbished Lionel Robbins Building as well as other extensive facilities on the Clifton campus. All staff are experienced teachers; many are leaders in their field of education. Our expertise extends into Continuing Professional Development for existing teachers wishing to enhance their skills and career opportunities.
