Subject knowledge courses for teachers - Teaching Agency (formerly TDA) funded
If you are a qualified teacher who is currently teaching mathematics, chemistry or physics to learners aged 11-19, but you do not have a conventional background in these subjects, we offer subject knowledge courses that will enable you to develop your knowledge and approaches to teaching mathematics, chemistry or physics. These courses are also ideal for those returning to education who want to teach these subject areas.
Higher education practitioners
For those who are already employed in a teaching post within higher education who want to continue their professional development, we offer a one-year part-time accredited course to become a Higher Education Academy (HEA) registered practitioner.
Lifelong learning sector - Post-compulsory education and training
Ideal for those working or who want to work as teachers or trainers in a range of post-compulsory educational settings from higher/further education to public or private sector work-based learning. Awards meet the occupational standards determined by Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK).
