Booster courses
Booster courses provide additional subject knowledge support to teacher trainees prior to entry to ITT courses. The courses are free for applicants that have already been accepted on an ITT course and a bursary may be available subject to successful completion of the course.
Course participants are likely to come from one of the following groups:
- graduates with non-traditional subject backgrounds
- graduates with joint or combined honours degrees
- those who graduated some time ago and need a top up or refresher of subject knowledge
- current trainees who are aware of a subject knowledge weakness or who feel that the booster course may benefit them.
