Science education
The Science Education Centre at NTU offers cutting edge provision for both students and staff. The Centre is based in two purpose built laboratories on Clifton campus. Students and staff also have access to the Centre for Effective learning in Science and an observatory, both of which are also located on the Clifton campus.
The new Science labs include state of the art equipment including full blackout for use as a physics base and one with a fume cupboard to be used as a base for chemistry and biology. Both labs will have interactive whiteboards, data projectors and access to a set of laptop computers for internet access and data-logging use.
The Centre contributes nationally and internationally to research in science education. Our tutors all have extensive professional experience in working in education and science settings. They are also involved with national initiatives, research and projects which inform our course content.
Our staff expertise in learning and teaching includes:
- Quantum phenomena
- Superconductivity
