What is NOW?
NTU Online Workspace (NOW) is the University’s online learning system. NOW is the hub for everything associated with your course and modules including:
- learning materials
- opportunities for discussion
- collaboration and more.
These tools are there for you to use 24-hours a day.
To enable you to make best use of NOW, for your work and studies, there are several sources of guidance in the form of the user guides and video tutorials.
The orientation and basic tutor training guides will provide you with information on the following:
- navigating NOW
- customising the learning environment
- accessing modules and programmes
- using communication tools
- creating and structuring content
- obtaining help and support.
They will also provide you with information about assessment and survey, and the opportunity to engage with other users of the system via the discussion forums.
Student guides
NOW also provides a student induction module comprising:
- comprehensive guides
- a treasure hunt
- video tutorials
- helpful cue cards and more.
To access this module, simply log into NOW and select NOW student induction from the My learning rooms section of the homepage.
Staff guides
There is also a NOW Community. To access it, simply log into NOW and select NOW community from the My learning rooms section of the homepage. You can also access the range of material associated with this module via the Content link in the top links panel, which comprises:
- video tutorials
- an example assessment and survey
- discussion guides.
