Introduction
The workshop provided an introduction to Twitter, a microblogging/social networking service, and its potential uses in Higher Education. It covered some of the basic functions of how to create and use an account along with advanced features which help to extend its potential uses. Case studies were also presented from practitioners who had been involved in using Twitter in learning and teaching and ideas for best practice were discussed.

Conference Update – Souvik Mukherjee
DiGRA is the main organisation for research in all aspects of videogames, whether it be game design, pedagogy or game theory. The DiGRA conference is held every two years at various locations globally.
Souvik presented a paper at DiGRA on time and multiplicity in videogames (abstract and full text). My conference participation was sponsored by EDU and I attended a range of papers of which I enclose the abstracts for those related to the learning and teaching aspect of videogames. See the papers from the conference.
