Equality and Diversity Policy
The Equality and Diversity Policy is a statement that sets out the values that the University holds in this area, the commitments that we have and the way in which we approach these. In particular, it states our commitment towards development of an inclusive and supportive environment for all students and staff where everybody is able to participate and where everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
The policy applies to all staff, students and visitors to the University, together with those contracted to work at or for the University. This includes those with honorary contracts or visitor status, including members of NHS staff who teach University students, and Visiting Professors and fellows.
It is reflected in all major polices and procedures of the University. Read the full NTU Equality and Diversity Policy.
Visiting staff and service providers are required to comply with relevant equality legislation and the University's Equality Policy. Read our Briefing Note for Visitors, Guest Speakers, Presenters and Suppliers
to find out more.
Breaches of the policy and complaints
Where members of our community feel that the policy and or its provision for their fair treatment has been breached, they can register a complaint in the following ways:
- Students should refer to the Student Support Services webpages.
- Staff should contact the Equality and Diversity Team to register such a complaint.
