The amount spent on travel varies - students residing in the city usually spend less on travel if they are studying at our City site. Similarly, those students who are studying and residing at our Clifton campus would spend less on travel.

Some or our halls of residence offer a free travel pass for tram and bus services across the NET network. Please visit our accommodation section for further information.

Research different deals you can get for travelling e.g. student rail cards and bus passes. If you intend to do a lot of travelling it can work out cheaper to invest in one or both. To learn more about it please visit NCT's Easyrider pages.

From September 2010, Ucycle Nottingham, with the help of Nottingham Trent University and Nottingham Trent Students' Union launched a bike hire scheme for NTU students.

All bikes are ready to ride, and come complete with lights, lock, mudguards, rack and servicing. You will also receive a free mini tool, a free inner tube, a 10% discount voucher to use at Evans Cycles, access to a free maintenance class run by Evans and free RideWise cycle training. Men's and women's bikes are available in different sizes and can be hired for the whole academic year for just £35 (plus a £60 refundable deposit). For further information visit our Ucycle website.
