What is Clearing?

The UCAS Clearing scheme matches people without an offer of a place at university or college with appropriate UK courses and higher education institutions requiring students.

You are eligible for Clearing if:

• you haven't already applied for a place at university
• you have missed the UCAS deadline date
• you have declined the university places offered to you, or
• you have applied, but have not received an offer of a place.

If you are eligible for Clearing, then UCAS will automatically allocate you a Clearing number. You will then be able to contact universities in order to try and secure a place.

Information about Clearing at NTU for 2012 will be available in the summer.
