Your qualificationYou could study
Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)Successful completion of five subjects from HKCEE with average grade of D considered for foundation courses at Nottingham Trent International College (NTIC).
Hong Kong Advanced Level Certificate (HKALE)

Successful completion of two A-level passes at grade D (science grade E) considered for diploma courses at NTIC.

Hong Kong Advanced Level Certificate (HKALE)

Considered for Year One entry to undergraduate taught courses at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), based on UCAS tariff points where:

  • A*= 140 points
  • A = 120 points
  • B = 100 points
  • C = 80 points
  • D = 60 points
  • E = 40 points.

Mathematics and Science subjects will be counted as equal to one grade higher. For example, B = 120 points.

Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE)

Considered for Year One entry to undergraduate courses at NTU, based on UCAS tariff points where:

  • 5 = 120 points
  • 4 = 80 points
  • 3 = 40 points
  • 2 = 0 points
  • 1 = 0 points.

Please note different UCAS point allocation for Mathematics.

Compulsory Mathematics

  • 5* = 60 points
  • 5 = 45 points
  • 4 = 35 points
  • 3 = 25 points
  • 2 = 0 points
  • 1 = 0 points

Extended Mathematics

  • 5* = 70 points
  • 5 = 60 points
  • 4 = 50 points
  • 3 = 40 points
  • 2 = 0 points
  • 1 = 0 points

A maximum of five HKDSE subjects will be considered.

Higher Diploma or Associate DegreeGrades of 60% or GPA 2.7 considered for Year Two or final year entry to undergraduate courses at NTU.

Bachelor degree
Second-class honours degree considered for postgraduate taught courses at NTU.
Masters degreeConsidered for PhD research.

English language requirements

AS-level [HKEAA] Use of English [E] or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) grade C or Level Four.
