| Sudan School Certificate (formerly called the Secondary School Certificate or Higher Secondary School Certificate) | Considered for a Foundation certificate or Diploma at Nottingham Trent International College (NTIC). |
| Diploma or two years study from a higher institution | Considered for direct entry to bachelors degree. |
| Bachelor degree | Holders of bachelor degrees from recognised institutions could be eligible for second year entry to an undergraduate degree or top-up courses. Considered for a Masters degree if from the University of Khartoum or the University of Sudan. |
| Masters degree | Considered for PhD research. |
