Alternative English language tests accepted by the University
Any of the qualifications and grades listed below are accepted as equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or 6.5:

  • GCSE English [C]
  • IGCSE English (as a first or second language) [C]
  • European Baccalaureate (as a first or second language) [6]
  • International Baccalaureate English A1 Syllabus [Standard level Grade 5 or Higher level Grade 4]
  • International Baccalaureate English A2 Syllabus[Standard or Higher level Grade 5]
  • International Baccalaureate English B Syllabus [Higher level Grade 5]
  • O-level English [C]
  • International Foundation Programmes studied in the UK. We can sometimes accept a certain grade in the English component of the course, usually around 65%. Please contact us to find out if your qualification is acceptable.
