| High school senior middle three | Grades of 80% and above considered for diploma courses at NTIC. |
| Completion of first year of Chinese university degree | Considered for entry to Year One at Nottingham Trent University (NTU). |
| Three year diploma or higher national diploma | Considered for final year entry to top-up bachelor degrees at NTU or for graduate diploma courses at NTIC. |
| Bachelor degree (four years or six years in medicine / dentistry) from recognised institution in China | Grades of 75% or above considered for postgraduate taught courses. Grades of 70% or above from 211 universities considered for postgraduate taught courses. |
| Masters degree from a recognised institution in China | Grades of 70% and above considered for PhD research. |
