Entry requirements for students from Austria

Your qualification	You could study
Reifeprufung (Matura) / Berufsreifeprufung / Diploma or Abschlusszeugnis (from a Kolleg or other non-university HEI)	Offers for entry onto undergraduate courses are made on scores between 3 -1.5 in line with the UCAS tariff. As a guide we would look for: 1.8 for courses which require 320 UCAS points 2 for courses which require 300 UCAS points 2.3 for courses which require 280 UCAS points 2.5 for courses which require 260 UCAS points 2.8 for courses which require 240 UCAS points. Students with a Diploma or Abschlusszeugnis (from a Kolleg or other non-university HEI) may be considered for advanced entry if the syllabus is compatible.
Bachelor Bakkalaurea Bakkalaureus (three years)	Grade 2/5 is required for courses at postgraduate level requiring a 2.i. Grade 3/5 is required for courses at postgraduate level requiring a 2.ii.
Magister / Diplomstudium (diploma four to five years)	Grade 3/5 is required for courses at postgraduate level.
Masters	A good grade in a Masters qualification is required for entry onto our research degrees.

To meet the University’s English Language entry requirements applicants will require one of the following:

A score of 2 / 5 or higher in English in the Matura / Reifeprüfung (where both written and oral exams have been taken)
One of the University’s approved English language qualifications.
