Nottingham has consistently been ranked as one of the UK’s leading retail centres and earned an enviable reputation for excellent shopping facilities – particularly for fashion.

Wild Clothing have all your retro clothing needs covered with their two stores around the city centre.

Forbidden Planet is a haven for your inner geek, with a vast range of comics, games and collectable figures.

Clumber street has been said to be one of the most busy shopping streets in Europe.

The Victoria Centre is one of the two major shopping centres in the city centre and includes stores such as HMV, John Lewis and Boots.

The Victoria Centre also houses Victoria Market, which is one of those places you have to visit: a haven of fresh vegetables, fabrics and cheap books and CDs.

The other major shopping centre in town is the Broadmarsh Centre, which has the likes of Boots, BHS, Wilkinsons and Argos.

You’re never far from a supermarket, wherever you live in Nottingham.

Sir Paul Smith’s flagship store stands on the end of Byard Lane on the site where he first made his name. Since then Sir Paul has come back to NTU on more than one occasion to give talks to our fashion students.

Not far away from the Paul Smith store in the Lace Market are new independent clothes shops, such as the beloved Pink and Lilly’s.

As well as the cool independents, Nottingham is also blessed with major label stores like Firetrap.

Diesel also have one of their few UK shops within the city boundaries.

Nash Interiors sell a range of quirky furniture and have their infamous cow guarding the shop.

Exchange Walk has a range of designer shops including Warehouse, Karen Millen, Kookai, Oasis and Kaliko.

Schuh have one of their flagship stores in Nottingham, where there are more choices of footwear than you can… erm… throw a shoe at.

Fopp sell a massive range of discount music, video and books from their store in Nottingham, which is one of their biggest in the country.
