Volunteering opportunities

With 350,000 students graduating in the UK each year, you'll want to stand out from the crowd. How? By doing something fun, making new friends, and helping out in your local community! If this sounds good to you, then you've come to the right place. You can get involved in any of the three parts that make up NTU Volunteering.

One day challenges
If you want your volunteering to be fun and varied, without taking up too much of your time, then look no further! Our one day Challenges are perfect for volunteers with busy schedules, and all of our activities are led by students, for students. So, whether you want to help us throw a party for young carers, host a drumming workshop for the disabled, or prune back some hedges, we'll have an activity to take your fancy without taking up too much of your time.

Student led projects
Ever wanted to set up your own project, but don't know where to start? NTU Volunteering can help! If you've got an idea for a longer term project, we'll help you see it through from start to finish - planning, development and delivery. So, what are you waiting for? This is your chance to develop a Kids Sports Camp, Social Night for adults with learning difficulties, Refugee Forum, or Go Green on the streets of Nottingham; whatever your interests and passions, we're here to make your project a reality.

Volunteer Shop
Our Volunteer Shop offers over one hundred opportunities across Nottingham for students who want to volunteer on a regular basis within a local organisation. There's an opportunity for you, no matter what your interest; giving you a chance to develop your skills, make new friends or gain some course or career experience. So, whether you want to work with children in a local school, inmates at a prison, or support young people with disabilities, the Volunteer Shop has something to offer you.

NTU Volunteering provides a wide variety of volunteering opportunities for students. To find out more about how you can build your CV, meet new friends and develop your skills, please see our volunteering pages.
