Our excellent graduate employment rate speaks for itself. 94% of our graduates* from full-time undergraduate study are employed or engaged in further study six months after leaving (*of those available for work, HESA survey 2010/11).
We work with industry leaders to ensure that our courses give you the skills you need to excel in the graduate employment market. Our graduates occupy senior positions in companies all over the world including Microsoft, HSBC, Rolls-Royce and the BBC.
Everything we do here is to help you succeed in your chosen career, such as the careers fairs we run for subject specific areas so you can meet the right employers. Our Careers Service can help you to:
- find placements, internships and part-time work
- pursue self-employment
- take a gap year and time out
- get into volunteering
- pursue further study.
Our Acceler8 Employability Award is a free programme that you can do in your own time. It is designed to improve your employability by showing employers the broad range of skills and experiences you have.
Your postgraduate career prospects
We also have a consistently high postgraduate employment record. 97% of our postgraduates* are employed or engaged in further study six months after leaving (*of those available for work, HESA survey 2010 / 11). This statistic includes both full- and part-time PGT and PGR.

Our Centre for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise, The Hive, supports new businesses. Last year, 34 students set up their own companies and are well on the way to making money before they even graduate. 85% of start-up businesses established with the HIVE have been trading for at least three years.
