Attendance and eligibility

Eligible students usually receive their award in person at the ceremony following the successful completion of their programme of study.

You are not eligible to attend the graduation ceremony if:

  • You are unsuccessful in your assessments.
  • You have an unresolved academic appeal or reconsideration request or are subject to an investigation for academic misconduct. (You will be invited to a later ceremony once the situation is resolved.)
  • You are in debt to the University for unpaid fees or charges. In this instance, your invitation will be withdrawn and your certificate withheld until the debt is cleared.

In relation to the programme of study from which you are graduating, all library materials must be returned and all fines and any other outstanding debts to the University paid prior to graduation.

If you have any queries about your library record, please contact a member of Library and Learning resources staff at Boots or Clifton campus libraries or the Loans Service Desk at Brackenhurst library.

Please contact Credit Control regarding any other outstanding payments on +44 (0)115 848 4492 or 8707.
