European exchange programme
European Exchange Programme
We are now promoting a new round of the exciting Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs European Exchange programme. The programme is aimed at giving new or aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to visit a successful business in another European Union country and learn from already successful entrepreneurs. The programme is designed to help the new entrepreneur acquire the skills needed to run a small firm.
The visit, between one and six months, is financed by the European Commission and entrepreneurs can apply through The Hive.
To be considered for the programme, entrepreneurs must be planning to start a business based on a viable business plan or have started their own business within the last three years. Each application has to be formally accepted by The Hive and the programme's EU partners, and the applicant must be acceptable to the host entrepreneur.
Under the same programme more experienced entrepreneurs can also apply to become hosts benefiting from fresh perspectives on their business and the opportunity to cooperate with foreign partners or learn about new markets.
Host entrepreneurs must be a permanent resident in one of the European Union countries, be the owner-manager of a small or medium enterprise, or directly involved in entrepreneurship at board level of a small to medium sized business for a minimum of three years.
