SmarTrak
Once your business plan is complete and you are ready to start your business the SmarTrak programme will guide you through the next crucial steps to get your venture off the ground.
SmarTrak is a three-year mentored pathway designed for those who have been through the HeadStart programme and successfully identified a feasible business opportunity that can be developed further.
The latest research shows that there is a need for a prolonged period of start-up help, within a supportive environment, for young businesses to have the best chance of surviving and growing. The Hive offers businesses a minimum of three years' support through the SmarTrak programme, ensuring that sufficient flexible resources remain in place for the entrepreneur to continue to:
- develop their business idea
- evolve their business structure
- gain customers
- prove their worth in the marketplace.
SmarTrak helps entrepreneurs at a crucial time as they move from the identification and planning stage through to launch and implementation of their business. At The Hive we will help you with one-to-one mentoring sessions, and you will have access to seminars, exhibitions and events such as the Pathway to Enterprise programme, a monthly event with guest speakers on pertinent topics including goal setting and personal development as well as functional topics such as tax, public relations and selling techniques.
Your business will be kept up-to-date with business issues and relevant networking opportunities, as well as receiving access to information on funding sources, award schemes and publicity opportunities. You will also benefit from The Hive's facilities and infrastructure as well as access to the knowledge base of the University.
