Welcome from the Dean
The School of Arts and Humanities is an exciting environment in which to study. Our courses are inspiring and innovative and are highly relevant to a wide range of careers and futures in research, industry and academia. We have a truly international cohort of students studying on a variety of high-quality courses. All of our students benefit from our world-leading research status, our excellent academic teaching staff, centres of excellence and modern facilities.
You will be joining a lively and inclusive student community. We work to provide the best possible research and educational environment, with outstanding facilities and a schedule of events and visiting speakers to help you fulfil your potential. These factors combine to help produce highly employable graduates, 94% of our undergraduate and postgraduate students are employed or engaged in further study within six months after leaving.*
Open days are the best opportunity to speak to our staff, find out more about the courses you are interested in and take an extensive look at our campus and facilities. If you are unavailable to attend one of these events you can participate in a virtual tour of our facilities, where you will be able to see what the school and campus have to offer and listen to the opinions of current students.
I wish you the best of luck in your search for your ideal degree and hope to welcome you to the School of Arts and Humanities soon.
Professor Murray Pratt
