Our courses are designed to help you further develop your language skills, one stage at a time.
This page is only a guide to the various stages we offer. All applicants are required to attend a registration session to be formally assigned to a Stage and to sign up for a suitable class, date and time.

| Stage two (Elementary) | Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish | GCSE B/C/D or equivalent; ULP stage one |
| Stage three (Pre-intermediate) | Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish | GCSE A*/A or equivalent; ULP stage two |
| Stage four (Intermediate) | French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish | GCSE AS-level grade A/B/C or equivalent; A-level grade D/E or equivalent; ULP stage three |
| Stage five (Upper Intermediate) | French, German, Italian, Spanish, English | A-level grade A/B/C or equivalent; ULP stage four |
| Stage six (Advanced) | French, German, Italian, Spanish, English | A-level + at least one year of study or equivalent; ULP stage five; University level one |

Please note that to progress onto the next stage of your chosen language you must complete and pass all of the assessments on the previous stage.
