Financial Accounts provides the University's financial services in terms of income billing and collection, creditor and expenses payments and payroll services. It is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of these services. Financial Accounts also has responsibility for the following:
- preparing the annual financial statements for the University group of companies
- completing statutory financial returns on behalf of the University
- ensuring compliance with external statutory regulators such as the Inland Revenue, Customs and Excise and External Audit
- ensuring compliance with internal financial regulations and procedures
- arranging insurance services for the University group of companies
- providing advice to staff and students on all the above areas of responsibility.
Corporate Accounts and Finance Systems is the team within the Finance department that supports and maintains the integrated financial management system (IFMS) and also fulfills the corporate and support services departments' management accounting function.
