Purchasing

The Purchasing Department is the University's centre of excellence for procurement, supporting the University by ensuring value for money in purchasing.

Our main role is leading on a wide range of contracts for goods, services and works, from 25k to 50m, identifying strategic areas of contracting according to value and risk.

We work with internal colleagues and also with regional and national HE groups to deliver value for money, influencing in excess of 80% of University expenditure.

We also offer high quality, professional advice and information on best practice purchasing, contract management, procurement legislation and supplier relationships.
