Q6. I applied for a position several weeks ago, how can I find out what is happening with my application?
The shortlisting process will normally take between two to three weeks after the closing date of the post; however this can vary depending on the number of applications received.

We will contact you by email or post should your application not be successful.

Q7. Is it possible to get feedback on my application?
If you have not been selected for interview, you will receive a letter by email or post confirming this decision with details of whom to contact should you require feedback.

If you have an interview

Q8. I have been invited to interview and have a disability - what should I do next?
Please make the local Human Resources team dealing with your application aware of any reasonable adjustments that should be made or any special requirements you may have in respect to your disability that may be relevant to the interview situation.

Q9. Will you reimburse my interview expenses incurred outside of the UK?
NTU will reimburse reasonable travel expenses incurred within the UK, unfortunately we are unable to do so for travel outside the UK. Should you be invited to attend an interview, an expenses form will be forwarded to you.

Q10. I have been informed that as part of the interview process I need to do a presentation. What equipment will be available?
As standard a projector and laptop will be available; overhead projector and flipcharts will be made available if requested.

Q11. I have been informed that as part of the interview process I need to do a presentation. Can I bring my own laptop?
You can if you wish or alternatively bring your presentation already saved on a disc or memory stick.

Q12. Is it possible to get feedback on my interview?
If you have not been successful after your interview, you will receive a letter by email or post confirming this decision with details of whom to contact should you require feedback.
