Competitive salary

Annual reviews are undertaken with any subsequently agreed pay increases being awarded to offset the cost of living increase. Our competitiveness is further underpinned by regular benchmarking exercises comparing NTU salary levels with both the higher education and the private sectors.

Excellent holiday entitlement

Dependent on role, 28 to 40 days annual leave inclusive of University closure days; In addition to this you will receive statutory and annual bank holidays.

Final salary pension scheme

Nottingham Trent University offer final salary pension schemes to all staff, the University contribution being up to 14% of your salary.

  • Academics may join the Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS).
  • The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is open to Researchers and all Professional Services and Support staff.
  • Current members of the Universities Superannuation Scheme appointed to lecturing posts (including heads of teaching departments and professors), may be eligible for continued membership of USS.

  • a learning and teaching development programme including a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and Post Graduate Diploma in Research-Informed Teaching
  • a range of opportunities for our research community including a programme of online skills training.

A range of other opportunities is also provided, including support for continuing professional development.
